Josh and Tammi Burns purchased Homer Boat Yard in January 2017. Tammi is a silent partner while Josh manages the business. Josh grew up in Homer, then went to college in Fairbanks where he took classes in welding and diesel mechanics. He had previously fished in Prince William Sound and owned a mobile electronics business in Fairbanks.
Josh has been called a "Jack of all Trades", which is necessary for running a boat yard that offers so many services. The primary services are Storage, Hauling, Painting, and Shrink Wrap. The boat yard also offers
sandblasting, powder coating and more.
